School in a Can

Welcome to our website.

The School in a Can Foundation aims to improve educational facilities in underdeveloped countries on a structural and durable basis. We try to realize our projects in a creative way with cost efficiency kept in mind.

In cooperation with School in a Can architect W. Zwerink (IAA Architecten) developed an innovative concept for building schools out of sea containers. The concept is a modular system which can be multiplied  and fitted to local needs. A single module consists of two sea containers in which a classroom, a computerroom and sanitory facilities are planned.

The module provides space for approximately thirty students.
